Getting there

By train:

We recommend that you take public transportation to the Chicago Book Expo at 1104 S. Wabash. The Roosevelt stop on the Red, Green, and Orange CTA lines is one block south of the Expo. The Metra Electric Line/South Shore Line from Millennium Park to the far south side stops at 11th St./Museum Campus (2 blocks east), and costs $7 for a weekend pass. The nearest Divvy bike station is at Roosevelt/Wabash.

By car:

If approaching from the north or south from Lake Shore Drive, exit at Roosevelt Road, and then turn north on Wabash Avenue. If approaching from the west, take I-290 to Congress Parkway, then turn south at Wabash Avenue.

Parking:

There are no guarantees that free street parking spots will be available. Free street parking is often available on State St. south of Roosevelt, or on Wabash farther south. Read all signs carefully. Parking meters are free on Sunday south of Roosevelt Road on Wabash, Michigan, and 13th St.; meters are $4 per hour north of Roosevelt with a 3-hour maximum. Info about paid parking lots can be found at http://chicago.bestparking.com.
